Warm Weather Is Finally Coming To The Quad Cities Starting Next Week
It's hard not to notice that the weather has been crappy lately. It's been a very wet and cool spring so far. While it's been easy to lose hope that the sun will come out and temperatures will get warmer, the National Weather Service is restoring that faith because warm weather and sunshine are expected for the Quad Cities next week.
It definitely hasn't felt like spring and almost summertime in the Quad Cities. But that typical weather we like to see and feel is expected to finally return to our area next week.
According to the National Weather Service of Des Moines, the 6-10 day temperature outlook map has the Quad Cities looking pretty good next week. The map has Iowa and Illinois, especially the Quad Cities area, being above-average temperatures from May 8 to May 12.
Even though it is projected to be warmer over the next 6-10 days, the precipitation outlook is still slightly above normal for the Quad Cities.
Even though the next week to a week and a half looks nice and warm, the month of May as a whole is shaping up to still be cool and wet.
The National Weather Service of the Quad Cities says that when it comes to temperatures for May, the Quad Cities is leaning just slightly below normal. The May precipitation outlook map also has the Quad Cities leaning slightly above normal, so if we see some more rain in May, don't be surprised.
