Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays. Being in radio, I don't know what a holiday is, and I don't really mind. I'm actually kind of flattered by the response we get at parades and events. Thank you, Quad Cities.

We will be all over the Quad Cities this Fourth of July. Monday the 3rd, we will be at Modern Woodman Park for Red, White, and Boom. Tuesday, I'm back at it bright and early at the Genesis Firecracker Run in my 2nd home town of East Moline. This will be my 6th year (I think) hosting this event. Race kicks off at 7am. If your interested in getting in on the 5K or 10K, go here.

Next, it's over the river (and through the woods?) to Bettendorf for their parade. It steps off at 10am along State St and Grant St. Last but not least, we head back to East Moline for the AMVETS parade. I have been to this parade for most of my 40 years (yep, I'm THAT old!). That parade steps off at 1pm.

Have a safe and happy 4th of July friends. And remember...roman candles are supposed to go in the ground, not in your hand!
