Wes vs. The Tootsie Roll

It's Easter time and what's the #1 candy you find in baskets and eggs at Easter egg hunts? That's right boys and girls, Tootsie Rolls! Did you think I was gonna try to do the dance? One of the stations in out little radio group is doing a hunt and they are stuffing eggs with the flavored Tootsie Rolls. The cherry ones and the vanilla ones are my favorites. If u smash them together and rub them between your hands they smash together and make a whole new treat. So, we asked if the original Tootsie Roll is really chocolate or if it's fudge, or if it's either? I went to my favorite source when I have a question: Wikipedia. Seems the Tootsie Roll is a chocolate tasting product that wont melt in the heat and that would be an economical artificial alternative to traditional chocolates.
