A QCA coffee shop will be closing it's doors soon.

It's never fun to see a local business close. There's a lot of time, sweat, and tears that people put into these places and unfortunately, we're going to be saying goodbye to one local business this week.

Charged, a coffee shop with locations in Silvis, Orion, and Cambridge, has announced on Facebook that they will be closing all locations this week. Charged has coffees, an espresso bar, energy drinks made with Monster (or Sprite/lemonade kid-friendly versions) as well as Ghirardelli cocoas and ciders. They also have breakfast food items on the menu too.

Charged cited 3 reasons for the closure: constant increasing costs, slower economy, and personal struggles. All 3 locations will close.

The post from Charged says that they will be open for the next couple of mornings. Here's where they are at:

  • Silvis: 111 6th Street in Silvis (6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.)
  • Orion: 303 10th Ave.
  • Cambridge: 104 N. East Street

The business adds in the post that you should stop by any location to use any Charged gift cards and points that you have in the next couple of days.

Before moving to it's larger Orion location in 2022, Charged started in a camping trailer in 2018, according to the Geneseo Republic. You can get more details on Charged's menu on their Facebook page.

Charged is not the first Illinois QCA coffee shop to close down in recent years. Last year, both QC Fuel and Iron + Grain closed their Illinois locations, in Moline and Silvis respectively.
