When Will The Pumpkin Spice Latte Return To The Quad Cities?
PSL lovers, it's almost time. For those of you craving the most beloved of seasonal drinks, you only have to wait a mere two weeks, or even less. Starbucks has yet to make an official announcement, but rumors are swirling that September 5 is the day.
Some lucky shops in New York City are advertising that their PSLs will be rolling out by the 1st, however, and we've seen the drink make early appearances before. Your best bet is to check in with your favorite QC barista the next time you hit the drive thru to see if they have any updates.
In the meantime, if you're really fiending for a hit of the pumpkiny good stuff, there are plenty of other options. Dunkin Donuts will release their version of the fall favorite on August 28, along with other seasonal offerings like pumpkin cream cheese spread for your bagels and maple pecan coffee. McDonald's is also planning on reintroducing their pumpkin latte before the end of August.
Locally, Davenport's Coffee Revolution has been teasing pumpkin drinks on their Facebook page and says they will be releasing their fall menu soon. And Cool Beanz in Rock Island has announced their version will be out on August 30, so you'll be able to indulge in all of the autumnal flavors next week, even if it's still 80 degrees outside.
If you know of any other places, local or not, that will be introducing their fall drinks soon, let us know.
