A kindergartner named Alex missed his classmates birthday party and was sent a $16 invoice for the cost of his absence. Yes, this actually happened.

Alex's father had R.S.V.P.'s the 5-year-old to his classmates birthday party at ski and snowboard center. His dad forgot about a previous engagement that they had committed to with Alex's grandparents set for the same day, so Alex was a no-show for the birthday party.
