‘Nonhuman’ Meat Found In Chicago-Bound Luggage
Holidays at O'Hare weren't only busy, they were weird.
Would we really be able to end 2025 without yet another weird story from Chicago airports? Let's review a few especially weird moments from this year alone:
Now, there's an in-bound luggage seize at O'Hare that's quite the unusual find. According to a post by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Chicago, a passenger flying into O'Hare from Congo brought along some...different snack choices.
I'll give you a warning now: this is a weird picture so if you're not particularly ready for weird stuff at the moment, here's the basics:
O'Hare Agricultural Specialists found 11 pounds of beans with pests, 17 pounds of unknown plants, and 4 pounds of 'nonhuman primate meat'.
And what it looked like is a little...memorable.
The pictures CBP posted show a small monkey corpse that's been bound and fastened.
There's no word on the Customs & Border Patrol's post on what exactly the traveler was planning on doing with the items but they won't be doing it. CBP Chicago said that those items are seized, prohibited, and destroyed.
They clarified that kind of "food" isn't okay to bring into the States, in case you're wondering.
