Davenport Teacher’s Kindness Gets Her Teacher Of The Week Award
It's the Fall 2023 semester and we are heading out to schools with our awesome program with Nothing Bundt Cakes and Scooter's Coffee to honor and reward our awesome Quad Cities teachers and educators. It's called QC Teacher of the Week and we are so excited to announce this week's teacher of the week!
It's now time to announce this week's B100, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and Scooter's Coffee's QC Teacher of the Week!
Congrats go to Amy Smith, a 2nd-grade teacher at Eisenhower Elementary in Davenport!
Mrs. Smith was nominated by a parent and teacher at the school, Sandi Cook. This is what Sandi said about her coworker and child's teacher:
"I am nominating Mrs. Amy Smith for teacher of the week. Mrs. Smith is a 2nd-grade teacher at Eisenhower Elementary in Davenport. Mrs. Smith teaches kindness and grit in her classroom. She reminds students that if they try anything is possible. She is constantly looking for ways to engage students, whether it’s by bringing in items from home to write about or making a replica of ancient Asia out of Lincoln Logs and construction paper! Students in Mrs. Smith’s class feel loved and supported. She provides them with a safe and comfortable place to be anything they want to be, and that is why I am nominating her for teacher of the week!"
Mrs. Smith's class was so excited to watch her receive this award. Awesome job, Mrs. Smith!
For being our QC Teacher of the Week, Mrs. Smith has been rewarded with a B100 Prize Pack including stickers, koozies, and more, plus an awesome cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes and a cup and gift card from Scooter's Coffee!
Thank you for your hard work and dedication, Mrs. Smith!
