Davenport Libraries Slowly Opening Back Up
It's good to write about life getting back to normal even if it's just something small.
Two of Davenport's libraries, 6000 Eastern Avenue and 3000 Fairmount Street libraries are opening back up for limited in-person services.
The library staff are reinstating in-person browsing for 30 minutes per day according to KWQC.
If you're in looking around you can use the library’s fax machine, scanner and copier. You can use public computers too, but you'll need to make an appointment for 1-hour sessions per day, including printing. You can contact the libraries to make an appointment at (563) 326-7832.
According to the library's Facebook page, hold pick-up is limited to the drive-up window at Fairmount St. At Eastern Ave, holds can be picked up inside or by using curbside delivery.
Library materials should be returned at the outside drops only at both locations. The Fairmont bookstore is still closed.
Just an extra reminder to wear a mask while you're inside the library. Also, the Main Street library remains closed for renovations.
