If you've driven, well, basically anywhere in the Quad Cities lately, you've probably had to swerve to avoid hitting a pothole. Or, maybe sometimes you see it too late and hit it dead on, hoping your hubcap stays put. (Same).

Luckily, driving should be at least a little better in the coming days! Davenport city crews have been out and about filling potholes where they can. It's an extensive process – there's been no shortage of pothole reports. But progress is progress!

I know the few that I kept hitting along Locust seem to have been filled in, and my drive home has been much less terrifying.

Crews were out on Friday, taking advantage of the nicer weather, and hopefully more have been out this weekend. Still, if you see a pothole, you can report it! All you have to do is call Public Works at 563-326-7923 during their business hours of 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, or submit an official request online.
