East Moline Happy Joe’s Temporarily Closes Due To COVID-19
Another Quad Cities restaurant is temporarily closed after someone had reported COVID-19 symptoms.
The East Moline Happy Joe's located at 4020 Kennedy Drive announced on social media on Tuesday, that they will be temporarily closed due to someone reporting COVID-19 symptoms. The east Moline Happy Joe's didn't say exactly how long the store would be closed for, they only said it would be closed for a few days.
While we don't know that the person has COVID-19, officials at the East Moline Happy Joe's said in their post that they are closing the store "out of an abundance of caution..."
East Moline Happy Joe's officials say that they will reopen after cleaning the East Moline location and testing has been done. This is to ensure the safety of the East Moline Happy Joe's employees and customers.
This is not the first Quad Cities chain restaurant to close. Since the start of the pandemic, quite a few Whitey's Ice Cream locations have closed due to employees contracting COVID-19.

"East moline Happy Joe’s is closed for the next couple of days. We had someone report covid symptoms and out of an abundance of caution, we are closing the store for now. We will reopen when all cleaning and testing has been done so that we know it is safe for our team members and guests to return. Thank you for your understanding."
