Another Quad Cities Restaurant Closes

In a social media post on Tuesday, the popular Bettendorf restaurant, FoodAffair Bistro (1015 Utica Ridge Place), announced that they have suddenly closed their doors.

At the beginning of the announcement the owners said,

Construction of FoodAffair Bistro began in early spring 2020, just as the COVID-19 pandemic hit. We carried on despite our anxiety and the obvious difficulties. With determination, in December 2020.

The post went on to say that more struggles popped up after things started to get back to normal like the after-effects of the pandemic, significant staffing shortages, and the rising costs of products. Owners said that these were incredibly hard challenges to overcome.

The post then went on to say they got a  "gut punch" this month (February 2023) from within.

"Despite our best efforts, we have been unable to find a way to continue.

In the brief existence of this beautiful restaurant, it has been our pleasure to be part of serving this wonderful community. We will absolutely miss seeing so many happy faces and sharing memories with you at FAB."

The owners went on the thank customers from the bottom of their hearts and said it was a privilege to be a part of their lives.

FoodAffair Bistro is listed as permanently closed on Google.
