Eastern Iowa Girl Killed in Tragic Accident, Dad Also Passes Away
The details of a horrific accident have come to light after the death of a 4-year-old Waverly girl.
Lola Keith was run over by her maternal grandmother, 67-year-old Kathryn Krukow of Waverly, on Tuesday, July 30. According to the Iowa State Patrol accident report, Krukow pulled a 2014 Chevy Silverado forward, tragically not realizing that her granddaughter was underneath.
Lola's funeral will be held tomorrow (August 7) in Waverly. Her obituary at Kaiser Corson Funeral Homes says "Lola's smile was unforgettable. She lit up the room, any room, when she was in it. She may have been a ‘farm girl’ but she was never afraid to put her best dress on, paint her nails pink and braid her hair..."
The day after Lola was killed, her 39-year-old father, Thomas "Nat" Keith of Evansdale died at his home. No cause of death has been revealed. His funeral is being held today (August 6) in Waverly. Nat's obituary says "of most importance to Nat was his children and the cherished time spent together."
Please keep the Keith and Krukow families in your prayers.
