Good food and a good game for a good cause.

No matter what age you are, nothing can get a competitive spirit moving quite like Bingo can and now there's a chance to play it to help out a local nonprofit. Epilepsy Advocacy Network in Illinois is hosting Bingo Bash in Coal Valley on Saturday, November 8th.

Besides Bingo, the event will feature a silent auction, raffles, food, family fun, and prizes like a 32" TV.

Doors for the Bingo Bash will open at 5:15 p.m. with the event starting at 6 and listed to go until 9. It's at The Rock in Coal Valley (302 1st Street).

It's $20 for 10 Bingo games, $120 if you want to reserve a table for 8 (which includes Bingo cards for 8 people at a discounted rate of $15/person). You can also purchase a dauber if you don't have one. Get tickets for the event at this link.

Proceeds from the annual Bingo Bash go to the Epilepsy Advocacy Network, which is a nonprofit serving 60 counties in Illinois, supporting kids and adults living with epilepsy. They also offer free seizure recognition and response training for schools, organizations, and first responders, as well as support groups and resources.

If you can't make it to Bingo, keep up with the latest and ways you can help the Epilepsy Advocacy Network on their Facebook page. They also have another Bingo Bash event coming up the weekend after the Quad Cities one; that one will be in the Peoria area on November 15th.
