Finally Friday 2020 In Clinton Has Been Cancelled
Finally Friday events in Clinton has been cancelled this year due government restrictions because of the coronavirus pandemic.
In an announcement made on social media on Friday, officials from Finally Friday at the River in Clinton have decided to cancel all Finally Friday events for this year.
In the announcement, officials say that after a lengthy discussion, they made the decision to cancel Finally Friday 2020. Officials say the aren’t set up to adhere to government restrictions which have been put into place because of the coronavirus pandemic.
On Tuesday, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds announced that more businesses will be able to reopen on June 1st, including speedways, outdoor performance venues, bowling alleys, theme parks, arcades and casinos. Those businesses can reopen but are only allowed at 50% of their capacity.
Finally Friday in Clinton holds a concert on the first Friday of every month from June to August. The first Finally Friday was to be held on Friday, June 5th featuring Michael Moncada and Whiskey High. Their other two Finally Friday event were scheduled for Friday, July 3rd and Friday, August 7th.
Even though Finally Friday 2020 is cancelled, concerts will not be going away in Clinton. The Clinton Lumberkings will be holding concerts the summer, with their first one being tomorrow (Saturday, May 30th). That concert will feature the Unidynes.
