Flavored Reeds – Yes, They Exist

How this came up on the morning show, I have no idea, but somehow Kevin and I began talking about clarinets.

After Kevin said his daughter is in the band and that she plays the clarinet, I revealed that I also used to play in middle school. I distinctly remember giving band a try and immediately not liking the taste of the reeds.

So, being the super cool middle school kid I was, I went to the store with my parents and found flavored reeds to make the experience a little better.

Did I end up sticking with the clarinet? Absolutely not. But, apparently nobody has heard of these flavored reeds and I'm here to tell you that they exist!
