I-80 Bridge at Mississippi River Closed

UPDATE: Borth directions are back open and traffic is now moving.

ORIGINAL STORY: Police have closed I-80 bridge and the Coast Guard has shut down the Mississippi River after an individual has threatened to jump from the bridge.

East bound traffic is being detoured off at the U.S. 67 (Cody Road) exit in LeClaire.

West bound traffic is stopped at the foot of the bridge.

Motorists are encouraged to use I-74 for the time being.
