Riley Horner is a teen from Kirkwood, Illinois who wakes up every day thinking it's June 11th. Why that day? That was the day Riley was accidentally kicked in the head by a fellow student crowd surfing during a dance at the FFA State Convention.

Apparently the doctor first diagnosed Riley with a concussion and sent her home on crutches. However, after many seizures and countless hospital visits, her symptoms are still a medical mystery.

Riley suffers from her condition daily. However doctors can't pinpoint her condition. They can't see anything. You can't see a concussion though on an MRI or a CT scan. There's no brain bleed, there's no tumor.

FOX details the awful symptoms of her condition -

Even the simpler things in life are wiped out of Riley's memory. Riley carries every notebook, textbook, and pencil with her throughout the day because she can't even remember where her locker is. In order to keep up with school, Riley needs to leave herself detailed notes. She takes photos of them with her phone and sets an alarm for every two hours so she can brush up on what she has forgotten.

"My brother passed away last week and she probably has no idea. And we tell her every day but she has no idea about it" Said Riley's mother.

Riley was a former athlete and scholar, but now that's all changed. Riley explains -

I'm not making memories and I'm just like really scared.

Riley and her family just want answers. So they're hoping that by spreading Riley's story, they'll learn more about her condition.

Riley, however, said she just wants anyone else experiencing similar symptoms to know they are not alone.
