QC Teacher Of The Week: Laura Horst At Northeast High School In Goose Lake

It's the 2022 Spring Semester and we are heading out to schools with our awesome program with Nothing Bundt Cakes to honor and reward our awesome Quad Cities teachers and educators. It's called QC Teacher of the Week and we are so excited to announce this week's teacher of the week!

It's now time to announce this week's B100 and Nothing Bundt Cakes QC Teacher of the Week!

Congrats go to Mrs. Laura Horst, who is a Vocal Teacher at Northeast High School and Middle School in Goose Lake, IA!

Mrs. Horst was nominated twice by a coworker, Jeannine Stoll. Jeannine said,

I nominate Laura Horst my co-worker at Northeast High School in Goose Lake. Laura is hands down the most caring teacher at our school. My three kids loved having her for a teacher. She treats every student (all 400 of them) as if they were her own. Students respect her and look forward to going to her choir class, especially if they are having a down day, because her loving hugs just make everything better. She’s known for her fun personality and makes sure all those around her have fun. She recently had the students do a flash mob at a basketball game, you may have seen it on Facebook, it was posted a lot. You could just feel the energy in the gym, but more importantly, you could feel the love she has for each of the students and the love they have for her. She has taught for 40 years and I have never seen a bad concert put on by her. She truly loves what she does, but more importantly loves those around her. Everyone she meets feels honored to have met her. She truly is the best!!

Awesome job, Mrs. Horst! For being our QC Teacher of the Week, Mrs. Horst has been rewarded with a B100 Prize Pack which included a B100 stocking cap, stickers, Bubbl'r from Pepsi, and more things, plus an awesome cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes!
