Did anyone else get the memo?!

I actually breastfed all three of my babies and in researching and reading all that came with the territory, I learned that men can also lactate! Freaky Friday! For a good laugh, just imagine a world where it's perfectly normal for men to share in breastfeeding.

"Ugh! Not cracked nipples again! Honey, can you bring me the cream?"

"Mark, you have no idea how engorged I got when my milk came in! I wasn't expecting so much milk!"

"I know what you mean, Tom! This baby is eating non-stop and my wife and I produce so much milk that we have begun donating it."

Oh the conversations we would hear! Personally, I think it would be wonderful if more men could breastfeed. Unfortunately, it's not as likely.  Men don't quite have all the equipment built-in for adequate milk supply and from what I understand, IF it did happen, it would only amount to a nice-sized drink for baby.

Something even more absurd than that, is that the Supreme Court recently ruled that it was "not sexist" for Nationwide Insurance to fire a breastfeeding woman requesting adequate breaks to pump  "...because under certain circumstances, some men can lactate, too."

There ya go, men! NOW is your chance to breastfeed and help share in the duties of feeding our babies!
