We are not passing St. Patrick's Day, don't you worry. But the next holiday it's acceptable to get drunk on will be Cinco de Mayo which falls on Friday this year. On Cinco de Seis (May 6th), the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds will be hosting its first-ever Cinco de Mayo party packed with food, drinks, and fun.

A month and a half after your liver gets torched from celebrating St. Patrick's Day at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, your organ that filtered the whiskey and Guinness will be ready to go for tequila to celebrate Cinco de Mayo at the same exact place.

The Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds announced that they will be hosting their first-ever Cinco de Mayo Festival on Saturday, May 6th.

Fair officials say there will be a ton of live music, fun, and so much more. There is also going to be plenty of food serving up delicious Mexican dishes, especially tacos.

Speaking of food, we know there are a ton of delicious Mexican restaurants, food trucks, and more in the Quad Cities that would be perfect for this party. Luckily, fair officials are looking for exactly that.

If you're interested in becoming a vendor, want to be a part of concessions, have your food truck there, or have another great idea for Cinco de Mayo at MVF, give them a call at the fair office at (563) 326-5338, or message them on social media.

More details are expected to be announced soon.

In the meantime, we'll see you at the St. Patrick's Day Bash on March 17th & 18th at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds!
