UPDATE (9/3/16 8:13 a.m.): Reports now say the quake was a 5.6 magnitude earthquake.

ORIGINAL STORY: The United States Geological Survey said that a 5.6 magnitude earthquake occurred at 7:02 a.m. and originated from north-central Oklahoma.

There are reports of Quad Citians feeling the quake.

The quake was felt from northern Texas to Nebraska and northeast Illinois, including Kansas City, Missouri; Dallas, Texas; and Omaha, Nebraska.

The USGS tweeted that aftershocks may occur.
