Healthy? Or irresponsible?

An Australian couple is receiving mixed reviews when it comes to their parenting techniques.

According to USA Today, Rachael Finch and her husband, Michael Miziner, drop their 2-year-old daughter off at her grandparent's house on Friday and go "child-free" until Sunday when they return to pick her up for the week.

The article cites Finch speaking to Sunday Style magazine saying:

Every weekend [Violet] goes to Mish's mum's house, and we get our weekend to ourselves. I think that's incredibly healthy for the relationship. And on Sunday, when we pick her up, we have 100-percent energy back.

The famous couple, who met filming Australia's Dancing With The Stars, has received harsh criticism and praise for their parenting style.

Good for you for taking the time out to value your relationship with your mate, and not just your child. I've seen many families broken because the parents forget to be lovers after becoming parents. All the best to your family!

Another was a bit more critical towards the TV host and her hubby. Instagram user @susannahmccord wrote:

You are using your child as an accessory and have no interest in raising a child. There are lots of people who are wanting and praying to have kids and you ignore yours during the weekend. Great parenting skills.

What do you think? Is leaving your children every weekend healthy? Or do you consider it to be "part-time parenting?"
