It's almost summer, and something I'm looking forward to, if I have any time, is hitting the links for some golf. Iowa and Illinois have some awesome golf courses but one in Eastern Iowa is celebrating its 50th year.
As part of the 50th celebrations, Palmer Golf Course in Bettendorf is inviting everyone to come practice their putting in the dark. They have a huge putting green called The Forge, and it's awesome. Plus, who doesn't love putting with glow-in-the-dark golf balls?

Glow In The Dark Putt Putt At Palmer
It's not for a while, but mark your calendar to do some putting in the dark at Palmer Hills in Bettendorf on Friday, May 9th, 2025.
Officials with the Bettendorf Parks and Recreation Department this season, Palmer Hills will have several special events taking place to celebrate the course's 50th season. One of them is a glow ball tournament on Friday, May 9th, at The Forge Putting Experience.
This is a family-friendly event that will take place at night with two-person teams. The cost is $100 per team ,and you get to golf 18 holes of glow ball putt putt golf.
The event will feature glow-in-the-dark elements like golf balls, live music, food, and more. The putting contest is actually helping out an organization right here in the Quad Cities. That would be United Way of the Quad Cities.
