Popular Eastern Iowa Brewery Announces ‘Likely Closing’ Soon
There is no shortage of breweries in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. While it may seem like our community has a lot of them, we're never upset when a new one calls the Quad Cities home. It is sad to hear when one announces it is closing its doors. I guess in this case, likely closing its doors soon.
A newer and popular brewery on the Iowa side of the Quad Cities with a unique theme announced on social media that the brewery will likely be closing its doors soon. If you haven't been to the Bettendorf brewery yet, now is the time to do so.
It's sad to say that Nerdspeak Brewery in Bettendorf is most likely closing. The good news is that there is no official closing date and they will stay open like normal as long as they can.
Bettendorf Brewery Most Likely Closing Soon
In a social media post on Monday, Aaron and Stacey Ickes, owners of Nerdspeak Brewery (7563 State Street, Bettendorf), announced that they will "most likely be closing soon."
The Ickes said in the post that they enjoyed sharing their craft beers with patrons and creating memories. There is no official closing date but Nerdspeak Brewery will continue to operate and be open daily. They also plan to host all of the brewery's scheduled events as long as possible.
In the sad social media post announcing the likely closure of Nerdspeak Brewery, the Ickes teased an event called "Save The Empire".
Aaron and Stacey thanked those who have been customers at Nerdspeak for their patronage and said they "hope you enjoyed spending time with us."
