It's now time to announce this weeks B100 and Nothing Bundt Cakes QC Teacher of the Week!

Congrats goes to Mr. Reese Saunders, who is a teacher at Edward White Elementary in Edridge!

Mr. Saunders was nominated by Nicholas and Laura Jess. Nicholas wrote in his nomination:

My favorite teacher is my special education teacher, Mr. Saunders because he teaches me fun things, like the stock market. I even got to interview a financial analyst and he told me I knew more than newly hired adults! I'm only 11 years old! I also enjoy playing games with my teacher at recess and break time. I usually beat him at Magic: The Gathering but he beats me at chess. I didn't like going to school before; but, Mr. Saunders is helping me do better.

Nicholas' mom Laura also wrote,

Mr. Saunders has been such a good role model and teacher for Nicholas. Nicholas absolutely hated school and really struggled when he entered Mr. Saunders's classroom 1.5 years ago. Mr. Saunders was patient and worked hard to build a relationship of trust and understanding with Nicholas, even when Nicholas was difficult and 'unteachable'.. Nicholas has made enormous progress academically and behaviorally with his help.

Most importantly, during the pandemic when school was online, Mr. Saunders went out of his way to play online games with Nicholas, in addition to teaching him virtually. Nicholas looked forward to their weekly game time. Those little things made a huge difference in my son. He deserves the recognition of teacher of the week for all the hard work and going the extra mile for his students!

Great work and dedication Mr. Saunders! For being our QC Teacher of the Week, Mr. Saunders has been rewarded with a B100 Prize Pack which included a B100 stocking cap, stickers, a Pepsi, a B100 Bluetooth speaker, and more things, plus an awesome cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes

Thank you for your hard work and dedication Mr. Saunders!
