QC Teacher of the Week: Zach Morton at Moline High School
To kickoff 2021, we started a new program with Nothing Bundt Cakes to honor and reward our awesome Quad Cities teachers and educators. It's called QC Teacher of the Week and are so excited to announce this week's teacher of the week!

It's now time to announce this weeks B100 and Nothing Bundt Cakes QC Teacher of the Week!
Congrats goes to Mr. Zach Morton, who is a teacher at Moline High School!
Mr. Morton was nominated by Erin Waldron-Smith. Erin said,
I would like to nominate Zach Morton, the band director for Moline High School. During this incredibly difficult time music has been pushed away. We hear about the outrage about sports being canceled, but a lot of kids who are dedicated to music lost a year.
Mr. Morton has tirelessly worked to keep music going. He got masks that are safe for students to continue playing. He has created online events. He did his own version of Marching Band so it could keep going. He is also having the Marching Band play at two football games that are allowed in the spring, so the Seniors can at least get to wear uniforms that he has fought hard for a few times.
Besides all this.... he is just a really good teacher. The kids love him. I have a Senior, and his final words to them as they finished the quarter was
“Remember you always have a home in the band room.”
Zach Morton is simply the best.
Awesome work Mr. Morton! For being our QC Teacher of the Week, Mr. Morton has been rewarded with a B100 Prize Pack which included a B100 stocking cap, stickers, a Pepsi, a B100 Bluetooth speaker, and more things, plus an awesome cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes!
