It may feel like the Fourth of July some nights in Quad Cities neighborhoods (yeah, I'm talking to you amateur fireworks folks), but the real deal and its fireworks celebration - Red, White & Boom - is scheduled for Monday, July 3rd.

Schweibert Park in Rock Island, and Modern Woodmen Park and LeClaire Park in Davenport will serve as viewing grounds for what is billed as one of the biggest Fourth of July fireworks displays in the Midwest.

Genesis Health System and the Riverboat Development Authority are sponsors again this year.

Despite the legalization of fireworks in Iowa recently, spokesman for Red, White & Boom tell the Quad City Times that no consumer-grade fireworks will be permitted on any of the viewing grounds during the evening.

The soundtrack for the show will air on our sister station 97X.
