Restaurants Are Now Allowed to Deliver Alcohol in Iowa
It's hard to find the bright side in the middle of a global pandemic, but having food delivered from a local restaurant certainly helps things feel a little more normal.
Even better, now you can also score a bottle of wine or a six-pack when you get that pizza delivery.
Local News 4 reports Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds signed a new emergency proclamation that includes suspending property taxes and some evictions and also allows restaurants to sell alcohol for pickup and delivery orders.
That's good news for local businesses that rely heavily on alcohol sales.
Restaurants like Gunchie's, Barrel House Davenport, Baked Beer & Bread Co., and Brew in the Village will offer alcohol purchases with their curbside pickup or delivery.
