Rock Island High School alum Chasson Randle's dream of playing NBA basketball is one step closer to coming true.

After playing at Stanford University the past four seasons, Randle was not selected in Thursday night's NBA Draft. However, Randle signed a free agent contract today with the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors.

The all-time leading scorer at both Rock Island and Stanford, he'll be competing for a spot on Golden State's roster throughout the summer.

Chasson starred at Rock Island High School and led the Rocks to a state championship during the 2010-2011 season. One of the most sought-after recruits in Illinois, Randle headed west to Palo Alto, California, and shined at Stanford. He led the Cardinal to the NCAA Tournament's "Sweet 16" in 2014 and two NIT championships (2012, 2015).

Good luck to Chasson! You've made the QC proud!
