Because egg hunts are now for the rich and famous.

Somehow, we're closing in on Spring 2025 already. St. Pat's is behind us and the next holiday on the horizon is the one with the bunny.

Easter is going to be interesting in 2025, thanks to the cost of eggs. We want to do fun stuff with the fam of course, but painting cartons of eggs isn't a financially smart activity this year.

Luckily, you don't have to go far or spend a lot of money to make Easter memories.

The River's Edge in downtown Davenport will host Bunny Skate on April 19th from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.

Admission is $6 (which is about the average price of a dozen eggs right now), skate rental is $3.50, and the event is open to all ages (though kiddos under 12 have to have an adult with them).

There will be Easter-themed treats at concessions, an egg hunt, and you can make Easter crafts with the Figure Skating Club of the Quad Cities.

Wear your favorite Easter attire (sweaters, mittens, earmuffs, or even a themed costume). But don't forget to bring socks to wear with your skates.

Even if you feel wary to try ice skating, just give it a shot. It's really fun and you don't have to be actually coordinated to enjoy the Bunny Skate.

The Bunny Skate is one of the several themed public skate sessions at The River's Edge this year. You can see the full list on their website.
