Adam Sandler's new movie "Hubie Halloween" is out on Netflix, and I made sure to watch it the day it dropped. In all honesty I was expecting a lot worse especially since Sandler was on record saying.

"If I don’t get it, I’m going to f**king come back and do one again that is so bad on purpose just to make you all pay. That’s how I get them."

He was talking about making an awful movie if he didn't win an Oscar for his role in "Uncut Gems." This was clearly a joke, but Sandler has been known for some real awful movies so I was pleasantly surprised by this one.

While I didn't dislike this movie I didn't love it. I can see it for the many flaws it has and can promise you if you don't like Adam Sandler's known type of humor you will most likely hate this movie. The plot is as follows,

Despite his devotion to his hometown of Salem (and its Halloween celebration), Hubie Dubois is a figure of mockery for kids and adults alike. But this year, something is going bump in the night, and it's up to Hubie to save Halloween.

As someone who loves Halloween, and Adam Sandler I can say this is a fun movie. This could be nice to watch with a group, or alone. The comedy does actually hit a few times which was nice. The acting however is hit or miss.

As for the horror aspect... I wasn't excepting a lot, and was happy to see some kinda cool scares. That being said I did find myself rolling my eyes once or twice. They also had the same scare happen a few times to many.

Over all the movie didn't feel like a waste of time, and had some real great moments. Over all 7/10.
