There Have Been Nearly 100 UFO Sightings In The Quad Cities

Do you believe in aliens? You might want to start, because UFO sightings in the Quad Cities are on the rise.

According to the National UFO Reporting Center, there have been 80 total sightings in the Quad City Area, just since the year 2000. Of the Quad Cities, Rock Island has had the fewest number of reportings, so if aliens freak you out, that's apparently the place to avoid them.

Broken down by city, these are how the sightings are distributed:

Davenport: 30

Bettendorf: 22

Moline: 22

Rock Island: 6

Here's a breakdown of one of those Davenport sightings: "Exiting highway 61 on to Interstate 280 and saw a light and was traveling low and very fast. It was not a falling star for it was traveling horizontally and was moving way faster than a plane."

Cue the X-Files theme in your head. (Or you could go with the Roswell, New Mexico theme. That one at least gives you an opportunity to win a prize).
