If love is in the air, where is it at?

It's no secret that it's difficult to date these days and trying to meet people seems even more challenging.

Maybe it's due to Valentine's week and the loneliness that comes with it, but I've seen several posts from QCA folks lately asking about ways and places to meet people that don't involve dating apps. I think we're all wondering that. And also: where are the good partners at?? Can I get a tracking number on one??

But evidently, according to the latest data from RoadSnacks, Iowa does have a good size single population (which they consider 18 and over and unmarried).

RoadSnacks came up with a list of the best cities for singles in Iowa, based off of a few factors:

  • population density
  • % of population that's male vs. female (closer to a 50-50 ratio is better)
  • % of households with kids
  • Median age
  • number of unmarried people in each city

Using all of those metrics, RoadSnacks gave each city a 'Singles Score' that landed it on it's place on the list. They limited their study to towns of populations 10,000 and over, which for Iowa, put 39 cities in the running. But true love could still exist in smaller towns for sure.

Now remember, these are just straight statistics. This won't necessarily be the best partners, the worst, ones with weird living conditions, or anything like that. It's stats. Do with them what you will.
