Six from the QC got thrown in jail for an after-hours bar party in Davenport.

In the wee hours of the morning today, some just wanting to a good time, learned the hard way that Davenport, IA. isn't the place you want to break the drinking laws.

According to OurQuadCities.com,

Officers were called around 4:30 a.m. to Bootleggers Bar, 2228 E. 11th Street regarding loud music coming from the bar, which was supposed to close at 2 o'clock.

Arrested was bartender Christa Oldham, 25, who was charged with providing alcohol after hours.  Also taken into custody and charged with intoxication were Devin Smith, 28, Kelley Light, 27, Macy Foster, 21, Jacob Jensen, 31, and Dylon Pavano, 24.

According to Iowa.gov:

The hours during which alcoholic beverages may be legally sold and served are:
• Monday through Saturday 6 AM to 2 AM
• Sunday 8 AM to 2 AM

A Sunday sales privilege is required for all off-premises beer and all on-premises liquor, wine and beer licensees wanting to serve on Sundays. Licensees may not sell, serve, dispense, or consume alcoholic beverages at private parties or while cleaning the establishment on Sundays, unless the premises is also licensed for Sunday sales privilege.

Only Class E liquor licensees (carryout liquor) and Class B wine permittees (carryout wine) have a Sunday sales privilege as part of their basic license.
