This Davenport Grocery Store Has Been Serving People By BOAT
Okay. There's dedication, and then there's Le Dedication. Who is Le? I'm glad you asked.
Quang Le is the co-owner and operator of the Oriental Food Grocery Store in Davenport, alongside his wife Hien Le. Unfortunately, due to rising flood waters, they've been struggling a bit to get people in the door.
The grocery store sits on the corner of West River Drive and Brown Street, and according to WQAD, the recent increase in the height of the Mississippi brought water up to the store's doorsteps on three sides.
But Le is really not all that phased. He and his wife have kept the store open through it all, making sure people can get what they need. If people can't make it to them, Le's brother-in-law takes groceries across the water on an inflatable boat.
Le dedication is a serious thing.
