This Long Grove Couple Is About To Celebrate 50 Years Of Marriage!
We're pretty far out from Valentine's Day, but there's never a bad time for a love story right? This one is pretty incredible too.
Bill and Lorna Lillis were married at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Davenport on August 30, 1968. That means that as of tomorrow, they've been married for 50 years. Half a century together!
It's a major milestone, but they're keeping celebrations lowkey – just a nice family party. Together they have two children and five grandchildren.
Bill is retired from Case-New Holland and Lorna taught in the Davenport Community School System and retired from the Scott County Library System.
They've made incredible service contributions in the city, and we wish them all the best!
