This Wisconsin City Was Named One Of The Ugliest In America

One Wisconsin city was recently named one of the ugliest in America, and it's one you definitely have heard of before. It's the biggest one in the state.

Even though people think Wisconsin is full of heavy people and farms, Wisconsin has beautiful scenery. The farmland is worshipped by Wisconsinites, they have gorgeous state parks, and plenty of adorable small towns with big personalities scattered throughout the Badger State. You can't forget about professional sports teams like the Green Bay Packers, Bucks, or the Brewers. Wisconsin has a lot of fun to offer.

It's easy to give big cities the label of the most ugly town in Wisconsin and that's exactly what you should assume. It's not the state capital but the city with the most people and the most things to do.

The website, Travel A Lot, recently released an article naming the ugliest city in each state. What makes a city "ugly"?  the article says whether it's from lack of maintenance or just poor design choices, these cities are an eyesore. Travel A Lot made their selections using reviews by local residents on sites like Niche and Reddit.

The Ugliest City in Wisconsin is...

The biggest city in Wisconsin was named the ugliest. That city is called Milwaukee. If you haven't been to Milwaukee in a while you might agree. But why would Travel A Lot pick on Milwaukee? They actually gave it some compliments.

Travel A Lot said that Milwaukee, Wisconsin is actually on the mend. Some people still consider it an ugly and undesirable city, but I've been there a few times in the last couple of years and I thought it was beautiful.

Residents say that they've started to see improvement in areas that were definitely not doing good. Milwaukee still has a long way to go but that's good news. One Reddit user said this about Milwaukee,

"Downtown development is as clear as day and definitely on the rise. New outposts of national chains are moving into the suburbs and regional ones are also expanding into the area. I think that only can be positive."

At least last year, folks in Milwaukee got to see both the Brewers and the Bucks make it to their respective sport's playoffs. Sure, they both lost in the first round, but they made it so that's good...? The Milwaukee Bucks aren't doing too bad in the 2023-2024 season so that's a bonus.
