16-year-old Brenden McGee is in his early stages of his fight with cancer, but he and his family remains optimistic.

Brenden has a GoFundMe page set up to help offset the cost of his treatments and the family is holding an auction for Rose Bowl tickets that is going through Monday, December 21st.

The McGee's received two tickets to watch the Iowa Hawkeyes play in the Rose Bowl on January 1st, 2016. Former Philadelphia Eagles player and Davenport native Julien Vandervelde donated the tickets, which are valued at $2,000, and is willing to match whatever they are auctioned off for, up to $1,000. All of the money from the ticket auction with help benefit Brenden and his fight against cancer.

The tickets are behind Iowa's bench in Pasadena, CA - Section 6-L, Row 10 and includes the school-sponsored Iowa Pregame Tailgate.

If you are interested in bidding on these tickets, you have until Monday, Dec. 21st to do so by emailing Julien Vandevelde.

Donations to Brenden's Fight can be made at his GoFundMe page. They are also taking donations at First Midwest Bank. You can walk into any branch and tell them you'd like to contribute to Brenden's fight against cancer and the money will go into his benefit account.
