Variety Magazine recently published an article where Alfonso Riberio (Carlton from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air) spoke about the inspiration for "The Carlton Dance."

Here's your refresher if you just can't quite remember the best dance of all time:

I'm actually shocked that its taken this long for this question to be asked, but finally, the truth comes out. Ribeiro told Variety:

"The dance is ultimately Courteney Cox in the Bruce Springsteen video 'Dancing in the Dark.' That's the basis. Or in Eddie Murphy's 'Delirious' video, 'The White Man Dance,' as he called it. And I said, 'That is the corniest dance on the planet that I know of, so why don't I do that?"

Thanks to the modern technology we know as YouTube, I've pulled both dances from the site for your viewing pleasure. I'd say Carlton DEFINITELY did those dances justice and then some!
