There's enjoying pumpkin spice then there's being obsessed with pumpkin spice.

The pumpkin spice obsession is real no matter which way you feel about the gourd. Personally, it's not my fave (don't @ me y'all) but it seems to have lasted through the 2016 Pinterest-obsessed, pumpkin-patching stereotype into the now Instagram captioned-obsessed #PSL influencer ~vibe~.

Every U.S. State Has Some Degree Of Pumpkin Spice Obsession

#Merica in the summer may be cutoffs and hot dogs but after July 31st, it's definitely Thanksgiving pumpkin spice.

Zippia looked at Google Trends to see how much of pumpkin spice whatever each state is googling to see how much we love it.

Illinois runs towards the top of the pack, ranking at #17 for pumpkin spice luv.

It's not just 'pumpkin spice lattes' that people are searching for either. Other searches include 'keto pumpkin spice muffins'.

Wisconsin Is At A Totally Elite Level On This

Wisconsin ranks number ten in the nation on pumpkin spice obsession. How much pumpkin spice stuff are y'all googling??

The study from Zippia looked at a full year of Google stats, from 9/30/20 to 9/30/21. Which, to be fair, a lot of us were googling recipes in 2020, beginning with sourdough bread (for whatever reason) in the early days of the 'vid.

The most pumpkin spice-obsessed state is apparently West Virginia. The least invested in it is Mississippi.

Do any of these stats surprise you? It's great to have a fave fall flavor to go to so for all who treasure pumpkin spice, cheers to the fall.
