Bettendorf Hy-Vee To Open First In-Store Nail Salon
What isn't Hy-Vee doing?! Hy-Vee announced that they are partnering with a nail salon to add inside stores and the first one is coming to the Bettendorf Hy-Vee on Devils Glen Road.
In a press release on Wednesday, Hy-Vee announced that they are partnering with The W Nail Bar to open several in-store nail salons by the end of 2021 inside select Hy-Vee locations across the company’s eight-state region. The first nail salon will open inside the Bettendorf Hy-Vee in early April.
The W Nail Bar is a full-service, all-natural nail bar that offers a variety of services including manicures, pedicures, nail art, waxing, tinting and more. The W Nail Bar is committed to culture, cleanliness and customer service. Full-service manicures are available starting at $35 and full-service pedicures are available starting at $55. Monthly memberships are also available.
Randy Edeker, Hy-Vee’s chairman, CEO and president said in the press release,
“Through our partnership with The W Nail Bar, we are revolutionizing the way customers shop in our stores by bringing engaging, experiential and convenient services to our customers. We are proud to launch this partnership with a company that shares many of the same goals that we do at Hy-Vee, including innovative offerings and exceptional customer service.”
The W Nail Bar is family and female-owned, founded by two sisters from Ohio, Lauren Hunter and Manda Mason. Both grew up working in their family’s grocery store before pursuing their own careers and later combined forces in 2015 to open their first The W Nail Bar location in Columbus, Ohio.
Lauren Hunter, Co-Founder of The W Nail Bar said in the press release,
“Originating from a family of grocers ourselves, we could not picture a better fit for The W Nail Bar. We are excited to collaborate with Hy-Vee to bring our own twist to the grocery space, offering safe, all-natural nail and beauty services and products to Hy-Vee customers.”
In light of COVID-19, The W Nail Bar has enforced strict cleaning and sanitation protocols in all areas of its salons. Extra measures have also been implemented such as contactless payment and Plexiglas barriers that are used between customers and technicians during manicure and pedicure services. The salons are currently operating at 50% capacity to ensure proper social distancing measures are being followed.
The W Nail Bar also has its own line of all-natural, handmade products that will soon be available at select Hy-Vee locations. To learn more about The W Nail Bar, visit www.thewnailbar.com.
