Free Blankets For Quad City Homeless Today
The weather outside has been pretty awesome the last couple days. I was able to play catch with my dog in the backyard yesterday and tryout the new Nerf ball cannon I got him for Christmas.
Unfortunately that streak is coming to a end today. Temps are going to fall today from 50's to single digits. Imagine if you don't have a home or shelter. It's not going to be just cold, it's going to be dangerous.
According to KWQC, starting today, the Moline Township Activity will be giving out free blankets for those in need. The Moline Township received 1,200 blankets to be distributed to area homeless.
There will be a press conference this morning where area agencies will attend to pick up blankets.
