Eastern Iowa Elementary Teacher Awarded For Encouraging, Uplifting Her Students

The Fall 2025 semester is going strong and since kids are back in the classroom again, we're going out for awesome surprises with Ultimate Chocolates to honor and reward a deserving Quad Cities teacher.

It's now time to announce this week's B100 & Ultimate Chocolate's QC Teacher of the Week!

Congrats to Jaylee DeLancey, 3rd-grade teacher at Hayes Elementary in Davenport!

Ms. DeLancey was nominated by Melissa, a family member of one of her former students. She said in her nomination:

I'd like to nominate Miss DeLancey at Hayes Elementary for Teacher of the Week not just because she's an exceptional educator, but because she's a true light in our community. Although she's no longer my grandchildren's classroom teacher, her care and guidance have never stopped. She continues to show up for them with open arms, a listening ear, and a heart full of love.

 

Miss DeLancey treats every child as if they were her own. Whether they're in her class or simply passing through the halls, she sees them, encourages them, and lifts them up. Her kindness is constant, her support unwavering, and her impact immeasurable. She's the kind of teacher who makes school feel like home: a safe, joyful place where every child knows they matter.

 

I know my family isn't the only one who feels this way. Miss DeLancey has touched countless lives with her warmth, wisdom, and dedication. She deserves to be celebrated, not just with prizes, but with the recognition that she is truly one of a kind.
