How To Watch Iowa vs. Michigan Big Ten Tournament Semi-Final Game

Being the #2 seed in the women's Big Ten tournament, Iowa had byes the first two rounds. Friday night, they took care of business against Penn State to send them to the semi-finals against Michigan.

Friday's quarter-final games ended in an upset except for one game, Iowa vs. Penn State. All of the other lower-seeded teams defeated their opponent. This is making the Big Ten women's basketball tournament Iowa's tournament to win.

Upset Central In The Big 10 Tournament

#4 Ohio State, the top seed in the tournament, loss in a huge upset against #8 Maryland, 82-61. #5 Nebraska upset #4 Michigan State, 73-61 setting up the other semi-final game between Maryland and Nebraska. That game tips off at 1 p.m.

Following Iowa's dominating performance against Penn State, 3rd-seeded and #12 Indiana loss in a huge upset against 6th-seeded Michigan, 69-56. All of those upsets set the stage for Saturday's Big 10 tournament semi-final games.

But Gabbie Marshall, or as she's become to be know as Gabbie March-ll, also put on a show last night. Going 4-7 from behind the 3-point line, Gabbie scored 15 points.

Caitlin had the most points Friday with 24 (an off night for her). Besides Gabbie and Caitlin, three other Hawkeyes finished the game with double-digital points. Sydney Affolter (18), Taylor McCabe (12), and Kate Martin (11) also showed off their scoring skills.

Iowa defeated Penn State, 95-62.

The 2nd-seeded and #3 Iowa Hawkeyes will take on 6th-seeded Michigan this afternoon. That game will take place following the Maryland vs. Nebraska game.
