Maybe it's just me, but it seems like it's been awhile since we've experienced any major road closures because of the I-74 construction, doesn't it? We're due for it. As such, it's happening this weekend!

According to the Quad City Times, Mississippi Boulevard will be temporarily closed on Saturday, November 9th to allow workers to set steel girders for the new I-74 structure. The Times also notes that there will be "intermittent lane closures" on Kimberly Road on Saturday as well.

There's no official word on how long these closures will last, so it might be best to just avoid them altogether for the day. Hopefully, things will be back to normal by the time traffic gets back to normal for the workday next week.

As inconvenient as it may be for driving, it is cool to look at! Have you seen the new arches that got put in last week? Slowly but surely, the bridge is coming together.
