Illinois’ & Iowa’s Top Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Flavors Revealed

Like pizza, ice cream is very much an ironically hot-button issue in the Quad Cities. Why? Because when Whitey's Ice Cream calls the QC home but there are so many other delicious ice cream shops around the area, people aren't afraid to throw down a scoop of their opinion.

Either way, we're happy and fortunate to have so many awesome ice cream shops, including Whitey's and yes, Happy Joe's, to call the Quad Cities home. This Sunday, July 16, 2023, it's National Ice Cream and another iconic ice cream brand wants you to know what flavor each state likes the most.

The iconic brand I'm talking about is Ben & Jerry's. And before you chow down on a personal size or tub of their delicious ice cream, this is the main flavor of ice cream people in Iowa or Illinois are enjoying.

Iowa & Illinois Have Different Favorite Ben & Jerry's Flavors

This Sunday, July 16th is National Ice Cream Day. Actually, July is National Ice Cream Month. Makes sense when you think about it because who wants to eat ice cream in January? (That's a rhetorical question).

While we've already determined the top 5 best places to get ice cream in the Quad Cities, here is what flavor of Ben & Jerry's ice cream people in each state are eating, according to Sticker and Co.

Sticker and Co found that Iowa and Illinois have different taste buds. On the Iowa side, Iowa residents are eating Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey ice cream. Across the river in Illinois, they are eating Chocolate Fudge Brownie.
