Illinois In the Top 20 Happiest States
Cracking the top 20 states is Illinois. To be exact, Illinois landed at #17, according to WalletHub.
Illinois ranked 9th in the key dimension 'Emotional & Physical Well-Being'. The Land of Lincoln could definitely work on making people happier in Work Environment and Community & Environment.
Wisconsin & Iowa Not Far Behind
If you live in Illinois' neighboring states of Iowa and Wisconsin, you definitely aren't unhappy.
Wisconsin also cracked the top 20 happiest states by landing at #19.
Iowa didn't make it into the top 20 but landed just outside of there. Iowa was named as the 21st happiest state in the U.S.
Iowa is tied for having the fourth-lowest long-term unemployment rate which will make anyone happy. It also doesn't hurt that Iowa's housing cost is the lowest in the country, too.
