Doing what the Iowa Hawkeyes women's basketball team did this past season was remarkable. Winning the Big 10 Championship and making it back to the National Championship are incredible accomplishments.

Someone who also noticed these accomplishments and wanted to recognize them was Iowa's Governor, Kim Reynolds. To honor not only this great team but a program on the rise, the Governor has made a day in Iowa dedicated to the women's basketball team.
