Moline Officer Gives Back After Accident

After an unfortunate accident, this Moline police officer did the unexpected.

Accidents are one of the suckiest things on the planet. They are unexpected, can be deadly and overall, are just a pain in the butt to deal with. We'll have our fair share throughout life, no doubt. It's part of why we carry insurance.

But what happens when your insurance doesn't cover the damages? You're out of luck and must pay out of pocket. That's easier said than done.

On August 31, 2016, that very thing happened to a single mom in a Moline accident. Officer Moody was at the scene but wasn't able to find anyone at fault for the accident, according to WQAD.com.

What he did for this single mom, was completely out of the ordinary. Officer Moody with the Moline Police Department bought her a new car. He felt badly she was having a hard time financially, so he did what he could to pay it forward to help.
